Bob advises C-Level executives in transition and in-position, impacting their performance, careers, and lives.
Bob is a business leader and executive advisor at the C-Suite Advisory – a unique and specialized practice of Felix – helping senior executives with career transitions, post-corporate life, and in-position leadership development. Throughout Bob’s career in business, including roles at P&G, Bombardier, Tate & Lyle, and Griffith Foods, he has been known as “Coach.” As advisor for all levels of the organizations, he helped develop leaders and future leaders – his passion for more than 30 years. In 2014, Bob pivoted from the corporate world to coaching and advising executives full-time as an owner of Shields Meneley Partners. He brings a unique perspective to the table with an education in engineering and several decades of experience as a human resource leader.
Bob served on his first corporate board, Madison-Kipp Corp., until the sale of the firm. He is a Managing Director of The Sierra Institute, an “invitation-only” group of senior CHROs whose mission is the advancement of their organizations, the HR community and each other. He has held numerous not-for-profit board positions in the arts, economic development, human resources, and the Union League Club of Chicago where he is currently an Officer. Bob is also a member of the Executive Club of Chicago and the Chicago Chamber of Commerce.
Born in Montreal, Bob attended college at McGill and Carleton Universities. He is an ICF-certified coach, graduating from the Hudson Institute of Coaching in Santa Barbara, California. Bob brings a global viewpoint having lived and held positions in four different countries including France, Canada, and the UK. He is an American and Canadian citizen.
Bob is a wine enthusiast and a Level 1 Sommelier. He lives in Chicagoland with his wife, Viki, a well-being coach. Bob has two daughters, both with careers in HR.
